Magnet Forensics Axiom/IEF
This year the host sponsors of TSFIC were Cellebrite and Magnet Forensics. TSFIC was an excellent opportunity to launch our new 2.1 version of Tracks Inspector which features an integration with Magnet Axiom/IEF in addition to our existing support for UFED, XRY and Oxygen. Tracks Inspector aims to become the standard platform for easy to use and collaborative web-based review of digital forensic artifacts.
“There is no such thing as a full forensic analysis.”
The keynote on Monday was presented by Ovie Carroll, Director for the Cybercrime Lab at the Department of Justice, Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section (CCIPS). The key note was sponsored by Magnet Forensics. Ovie presented a great keynote and was able to point out exactly how tools like Axiom can help perform digital forensics investigations. He emphasized that “there is no such thing as a full forensic analysis”, “we [forensic experts] have to present results in a human digestible format” and “there is always more”.
Tracks Inspector’s vision is very similar to the message which was communicated by Ovie in his keynote. Our software offers access to the “low hanging fruit” and we present digital evidence in way that is understandable for non-technical investigators.
At the end of this item we have added two short video impressions of Ovie’s excellent keynote.
At TSFIC a number of existing Tracks Inspector partners were present: INSEC (Korea), Arina (Switzerland & Austria), Data Expert (Benelux), Forensic Tools (Finland), Tracip (France) and Risk Diversion (South Africa). We had a partner dinner enabling us to catch up and update our partners on the new integration with Axiom. As always, partners do learn from each other and have interesting case studies and experiences to share regarding customers and opportunities. During the conference, we also met with potential new partners in markets where we are not yet represented.
North America, Canada and Mexico
The updated product sheet with information on the Axiom integration was included in the conference bag and triggered participants to visit the Tracks Inspector booth. Both government (federal, state and local), corporate and also a fair number of participants from Mexico expressed their interest in Tracks Inspector. Our message “putting digital forensics in the hands of non-technical investigators” seems to resonate more and more. Also, the prototype of the Digital Evidence Dashboard received quite some interest.
TSFIC was a great conference and we hope to see you there in 2017!
